Open House

Hi all–  Just home from Open House night at Laurel School.  The room was teaming with 8 year olds, moms, dads, grandparents and assorted siblings.  It’s a party!

It’s been such a complicated year, but it’s a happy scene to watch the kids ferry their parents around the room to show off projects explain all we’ve been doing.  Those little students spend 6 hours every day here in room #22.  It really is their “second home.”  So it’s a good thing to have the families drop and find out what we’ve been up to.

I promised my little guys that I would only say lovely things about them to parents at Open House and there was chocolate for all!  So it was a good one.

  1. The room looks so cute…..a bright spot in the students “home away from home”. Hope it was a good night for you. The days are counting down to the end of the school year.

  2. Though a little tiring, I always loved Open House. It’s a great opportunity for the students to show off and shine. The classroom looked great and the students are so blessed to have you as their teacher.
