Hi all– Just home from Open House night at Laurel School. The room was teaming with 8 year olds, moms, dads, grandparents and assorted siblings. It’s a party!
It’s been such a complicated year, but it’s a happy scene to watch the kids ferry their parents around the room to show off projects explain all we’ve been doing. Those little students spend 6 hours every day here in room #22. It really is their “second home.” So it’s a good thing to have the families drop and find out what we’ve been up to.
I promised my little guys that I would only say lovely things about them to parents at Open House and there was chocolate for all! So it was a good one.
The room looks so cute…..a bright spot in the students “home away from home”. Hope it was a good night for you. The days are counting down to the end of the school year.
Though a little tiring, I always loved Open House. It’s a great opportunity for the students to show off and shine. The classroom looked great and the students are so blessed to have you as their teacher.
Thanks Shawna– you’ve got to know we couldn’t do room #22 with you!
