One cannot be deeply responsive to the world without being saddened very often”
Eric Fromm

Hello all– Sitting in the teachers’ lunchroom on Friday, we all were quieted by the news from Sandyhook school.  We could imagine the faces of our own little students in the horrific situation.  Here’s the response I read later that day from our friend Jac–

“Before today Sandy Hook and Newtown were unknown to most of us, to some perhaps a place on a map. Today, the people of this place are our family, and we weep with them. We cannot stop our tears. We cannot stop praying. Lord God Almighty, embrace our family in Newtown for us. We are so far away…you so near.”

God have mercy.
