“Keep your eyes open to your mercies.  The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life.
–Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894, Scottish novelist, poet)

Hello all–  On this bright Sunday morning far from home, I’m praying to keep my eyes open to God’s tender mercies, to be awake in life.  I am thankful for…

#1. a day ahead, talking with our kids, hearing all their stories…
#2. the brilliant sun on velvety green hills, aqua waters, rugged rocky shores.
#3. quiet and a mug of tea in the early morning.
#4. good meals all day, that I don’t have to fix.
#5. God’s goodness and mercy evident to me here.
