Christmas Benediction

Hello friends–We’re just home from a heartwarming Christmas Eve midnight service.  I wasn’t going to post anything today–  but this benediction was a true blessing, so I wanted to send it on to you…

“May you be filled with the wonder of Mary,
the obedience of Joseph,
the joy of the angels,
the eagerness of the shepherds,
the determination of the magi,
and the peace of the Christ child,
And may the Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, bless you now and forever.”

Merry Christmas! Thanking God for his son come to earth and for his blessing and help in the year ahead.

thank you for the pic

  1. Merry Christmas Rhonda, I am so happy to have met you (virtually, through our blogs) this site is warm and comforting and so much more than just the delicious food you post. It’s love and family! Best wishes to all of you for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

  2. Merry Christmas Rhonda & family ~ We had quite the service here in Columbus. A storm blew through and knocked out our power…some men in the church finally (10 min. before service was to begin) got the generator to come on and bring enough power for us to have a service. Then as we were closing with lit candles and Silent Night…the power came on. Our trees in the auditorium lit so we doused the regular lighting and had a very special Christmas benediction. I love the thought that you sent as we begin our Christmas day here with wassel and your baked oatmeal recipe!!! Love and hugs from our family to yours, Brenda

    • Thanks Daisy– we went to the late service at a more formal church with beautiful music– It was the sweetest, most worshipful part of our Christmas– in the middle of all the busy-ness and crazy fun with our kids. And the benediction was given at the end. I loved it too.
